The Toolroom Manufacturing has been using (CAD) since March 1993. Two principal design software packages are currently used, namely; a 2 dimensional package used primarily for mould design layout, general assembly layout and component (or article) drawings.
The second more powerful software is used in the design of more complex 3-dimensional components which are created according to client specifications.

These designs can be viewed by clients in house or images can be e-mailed to them for final approval before machining commences. The 3-D software is powered by Powershape (TM), a world leader in design and machining software.

Once designs are approved, the model is transfered to our machining software (Powermill TM), where computer generated “cut-files” are generated. These files are in turn downloaded via our internal network to the CNC machines on our factory floor where actual machining commences. Due to these facilities, cost and time saving are experienced at every segment of the manufacturing chain, that is from initial design approval to actual physical machining.
